5 Ways to Earn Points for #HealthyLiving

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone.

I'll be the first one to admit it. I need to work on my eating habits. Being a teacher and working 50 hours a week, not sleeping very much and a lot of extracurriculars means that my everyday habits have sort of deteriorated. #collectivebias and Walgreens motivated me to decide that it is time to add some habits, items and steps to include into my everyday that will help improve my energy, stomach, heart, and overall #health!

Here are Five Steps that will help with your #healthyliving on this awesome app.
photos via instagram.

Step 1. Download the Walgreens App onto your phone. As many of you know, Walgreens has a #BalanceRewards program. In this program, you can earn points when you buy items at the store, pick up prescriptions, etc. Also, in this app, there is a healthy choices feature. In this feature, you can earn #BalanceRewards points for making healthy choices. In this portion of the app, you can set health goals, track progress and connect your devices. This was a huge first step in getting my foot in the door for a healthy lifestyle change. I recently have been making a lot of health goals recently and this app definitely has increased that step. The coolest part about this app is that you can connect your devices and they can be synced with your BalanceRewards healthy choice feature. How sweet, right?!

This is what the app looks like when you download Walgreens app. In the middle, as you can see, you can click on "Balance Rewards" and it will take you to your points. In the corner you can see that it specializes your name :)

This is me. So happy! Doing my Walgreens App healthy choice #balancerewards

Step 2. Head to your local Walgreens store and pick up some items that will help you receive points for eating healthier. While there, this is what I picked up:

Wandering the rows in Walgreens :)

  • Water bottles- Maybe this is just me, but I am in desperate need of more water!!!
  • Muscle Milk protein shakes--to get that protein that we need!
  • Luna Nutrition Bars- for those snack times!

Step 3. Get moving!!! On this app, you get 20 points for every mile that you walk, run or, bike. Saylor and I have been going out and getting our walks on everyday to earn these points! Boo ya!

While on your walk, you can see sites like these!!! At least, well, I can. Haha. Utah, baby!

Step 4: Track your information! On this great app, you get 20 points per mile when you walk, run or bike, 20 points per daily log when you track your weight. Tracking on this app will help you save money while in the store! Setting up your account and making your first goal gives you 250 points right  away.

One of my favorite things to do is be outside. I love to go hiking, walking, and be outside in nature. I feel the need to be "one with nature", if you will. I think it is important to be outside--even if it is something little, like I do when I take my dog for a walk. Just recently, T money and I went for a hike. I tracked my points and it was so fun to watch to my points go up. I don't know about you, but I am a competitive person. And I love to compete against myself and others. I love to watch those points go up.

Always remember to get out, make health goals, for you. You don't need to compare yourself with others. I have found that I do this. I exercise, yet, I am still larger than so many other of my friends or bloggers that I see. I feel like I am so far behind. But I think the most important lesson I learned from this app is that I can have my own goals. And so can you!

Step 5: Stay Awesome. No, really. Keep doing your yoga. Keep running. Keep walking. Keep eating healthy. You can do it. I believe in you! Download this app today!

What do you do to stay healthy?

Finding the Perfect Razor

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone.

Now, I don't know about the rest of you, but there is something so awesome about a clean shaven man at important events. Don't get me wrong, there is something about a man with stubble/beard too, but when it comes down to it, a clean shaven man meeting your family for the first time is awesome. Well, Tanner and I are on a traveling extravaganza! We were just in San Diego for a family reunion and now we are headed to Portland, Oregon for our immediate Ainge Family Reunion at the cabin (my favorite place in the world). Tanner was meeting some of my family for the first time, so I wanted him to look clean cut! As we were looking for a razor, T reminded me that he needed a razor that wouldn't cut him and make his super sensitive skin hurt. Nothing better than a #smoothsummer razor from #collectivebias. We found the Gillette Flexball Razor at Walmart and it was perfect!

Before:

The Process:

When we were at the store, Tanner found himself picking out the Gillette Flexball Razor. He loved the fact that it was catered to sensitive skin, which he has. He has a hard time finding something that doesn't irritate his skin.

After:

instagram video.

Tanner was weary at first to try this razor because so many of them have not worked out, but this was one perfect! I personally love kissing his soft face after he used this razor. We were both so happy about finding a good razor!!

Don't forget to follow this Pinterest board for more information!

Follow Krystal's Kitsch's board Smooth Faces of Summer on Pinterest.

We found this razor by the Health and Beauty Section in Walmart in La Mesa, CA. There was a whole specific section for them! They are brand spankin new! Go grab one today!

Since I am on vacation, I won't be posting again until next week. Just love me :) I'll be back next week1

Nothing Better than an Ice Cold Coke, I Tell Ya!

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone.

I hate to admit it, but I love a nice, cold Coca Cola bottle on a hot summer day.
I keep trying to kick this habit. But OH MY GOSH. Sometimes an Ice Cold Coke is just what hits the spot. You know what I mean?
As many of you might have seen on my Instagram and Twitter, I teamed up with #CollectiveBias and Coke's #ShareitForward campaign to attend a local demo at Walmart last week. I was soooooo stoked. I absolutely love that these cans have fun names on them like "BFF" and "Star" while the 20 oz bottles have actual names on them! We found these in the soda section near a register near checkout.

I had an awesome Sunday Summer BBQ dinner with my in laws. We decided to make some delicious Bacon Burgers and drink these yummy Cokes. It was a fun afternoon with good food, good family and good fun! I was especially excited to find a specific bottle that said, "Jack" on it--which is my brother in law's name. He loved it too, actually :) I am so grateful for good, kind, supportive in laws. What a blessing!

Go Share a Coke with someone today!

Busy Being a Girl with Stayfree Ultra Thin Regular!

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone.

I think this one might just be for the ladies. No? Maybe?
Being a 6th grade teacher, I think I hear more about periods than I do about anything related to school, unfortunately. In fact, I have had girls asks for tampons on multiple occasions. Which, in all reality, I am totally okay with. I want my students to know that it is a normal part of a girls life and there is nothing to be ashamed of!
As an adult women, I get that lovely "present" every month (hallelujah! No kids for me right now!) This can be quite annoying, especially in the summer, because we are everywhere in the summer. We travel through many states, take lots of road trips, go on lots of hikes, etc. I am so grateful that #collectivebias and #FreetoMove has introduced me to Ultra Thin Regular pads. They are the biggest lifesaver in the past little while in my life.

This product is very usable, especially through those busy, hot summer days--even in the evening, when you are traveling! Ladies, you can do all of those awesome summer activities that you have want to do in the lovely sunshine.
I have used these while doing the following activities. And so can you!!

baseball games

Hiking in Zion's National Park.

Biking along the beach!

Have a busy, active summer? Pick these up today!!!

You can find these awesome products under the "Feminine Products" aisle at your local Walmart. It is located near deodorant, shampoo, and other health supplies.

Also, there is a $5 Walmart eGift card reward when you buy any 3 products- Stayfree, Carefree, or o.b.

Candy Ideas For Family Celebrations!

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are my own.

Warning: Lots of photos. Make sure you get to the bottom to see all the good stuff!

There is just something about getting together with family that embraces fun and silliness; especially on holidays such as the 4th of July.

As I celebrated with all of my husband's family for the 4th of July, we were surrounded by food, kids, parties, sunshine, (holy heat! I was dying!), and lots of silly grins. After a delicious 4th of July BBQ (obviously), I had to pull out one of my favorite candy ideas for all of the kids to get riled up on before the Fireworks: Mike and Ike Zours. It was perfect. They attacked them! And it was entertaining to watch all of their funny #zourfaces through #collectivebias while eating them. We even got creative and put the Zours on the jello…mmmm yummy. Haha! I have noticed that this type of candy is PERFECT for a movie night. We were going to take these candies inside and watch a movie after the fireworks but the kiddos all fell asleep. So perfect for a summer movie night!
Let me ask you: Can you make these kind of faces?

FYI: These Zours are located in the "Candy Aisle" of Walmart.

Also, can you believe it: I didn't take ONE picture of a firework on the 4th!? Does this mean I am a legitimate blogger? Apparently it remains to be seen. Here are some more photos of this awesome holiday weekend. It was definitely one for the books. Tanner's Mom's side all lives up in Oakley and everywhere his grandpa makes a float and all of the grandkids participate in the Oakley parade. We play games and eat yummy food out on the farm afterwards. In the evening, we head down to Heber, Tanner's Dad's side to watch the firework show. Good ol' country 4th of July. Pretty perfect if you ask me! I am so grateful to live in this country with all of the freedoms that I enjoy, with a family that has a lot of fun and makes hilarious faces, and a holiday that includes fireworks :)
I have to comment on some of the photos…come on, guys. It's me. You should know this by now. Some of these are too good to ignore.

Wedgie pickin'…so hilarious!

Tanner's little cousin. So dang cute!

Hottie Mchottie. He loves that hat.

Grandpa Lake as "Grandma's Feather Bed"

My brother in laws just inner channeling their hick heritage. Such a hilarious photo!

And he claims to hate small dogs...

There were about 7 dogs at this family party. Think we have a problem?

Dallan gets a model shot.

Okay, stop for a second. LOOK AT HOW BEAUTIFUL MY DOOGY IS. Okay, moving on. Sorry. Kind of. I'm obsessed.

T Money brought me a flower. A daisy…my favorite :)

Brenen looks a little tired!

And that's only a quarter of the photos ;)
I hope your holiday was as fantastic as mine!

What did you do for the 4th of July?
